Volunteer Opportunities

Contact the Joanna M. Nicolay Melanoma Foundation if you would like to volunteer your time to assist us with any of our many activities to accomplish the foundation's mission.

Additionally, the Joanna M. Nicolay Melanoma Foundation can work with you as you plan your own fund raising event to support the foundation.

Harness your imagination to create or participate in countless examples of unique events to benefit the cause of our foundation.  Here are a few examples of fund raising events that you might consider:

  • "Run -- Walk -- Bike or Swim for Melanoma" -- Weave your personal goal to get fit into soliciting sponsors for your successful involvement in an organized event.  Or, actually consider organizing an event with our involvement to promote and publicize that proceeds will be donated to the foundation.  Contact the foundation for sponsor material.

  • "Stay-at-Home Dinner" -- Invite your friends, family and neighbors to enjoy a sumptuous dinner in your home while raising money to further the cause to fight melanoma. Contact the foundation for invitations or other material.

  • "Golf" or "Mini-golf Tournament" -- An outing on the "greens" is a terrific way to recruit friends, families and the general public to be involved in raising money for melanoma. Contact the foundation for help in organizing the event.

Sponsors
The Joanna M. Nicolay Melanoma Foundation offers exceptional opportunities for individuals and businesses to be recognized publicly for the positive impact played in underwriting specific programs and events.

This is an excellent approach for sponsors to work with the foundation to identify how their gift will be utilized to further our efforts. We provide full accountability for the use and disbursement of sponsor funding and the appropriate public acknowledgement.

Prospective sponsors interested in these opportunities are encouraged to contact us to discuss opportunities in greater detail.

Memorials
Contact the Joanna M. Nicolay Melanoma Foundation if you would like to make a contribution in memory of your loved one.  Memorials can be publicly acknowledged by the foundation or simply and graciously accepted as a heartfelt gesture to remember the valiant struggle of one dear to you.  Your memorials live on as a testament to one, but a hope for many.
