"WIN-THE-FIGHT" / Garrett County Gran Fondo

June 23, 2012
Deep Creek Lake
McHenry, MD 21541

Overview:
Don’t miss this 3rd annual event of supported bike rides in scenic western-Maryland featuring a variety of extreme epic and recreational routes to satisfy every biker’s range of interests and ability.  The Deep Creek Lake area boasts the finest cycling in the mid-Atlantic region and the “WIN-THE-FIGHT” Gran Fondo provides twice the satisfaction in serving as a fundraiser for the Joanna M. Nicolay Melanoma Foundation.

In the heart of the Appalachian recreational highlands, the region is absolutely stunning and ideal for biking.  The main staging area for the Gran Fondo will be the Adventure Sports Center International, home of the world’s only mountaintop whitewater and rafting adventure park perched above Deep Creek Lake and located just 90 minutes from Pittsburgh, and less than 3 hours from Washington, DC, Northern Virginia, and Baltimore, MD.
