The “WIN-THE-FIGHT” SavageMan Triathlon Festival, conducted annually in mid-September in the Appalachian Highlands of western Maryland features the “Triathlete” magazine internationally renowned SavageMan 70.0 event: a 1.2-mile swim in clear Deep Creek Lake, Maryland’s largest freshwater lake; 55.6-mile bike on the most scenic and most savage triathlon bike course in the world; and, 13.1-mile run on the lakeside trails and roads of Deep Creek Lake State Park.
