"WIN-THE-FIGHT" / Team “WIN-THE-FIGHT”

2012 Team “WIN-THE-FIGHT” Triathlon Charity Slot Members

Team “WIN-THE-FIGHT” members are very proud to be organized to raise awareness for melanoma skin cancer and fundraise to support the essential mission of the Joanna M. Nicolay Melanoma Foundation. The 2012 campaign will truly make an incredible impact…on our collective efforts to “WIN-THE-FIGHT” against the #1 cancer in the U.S. - skin cancer; in its most lethal form - melanoma! Proceeds from all of our Team members will support the Foundation’s overall mission of education, research and advocacy in numerous ways.

There are several ways to participate:

  1. Register for one of our pre-reserved Team “WIN-THE-FIGHT” charity slots for any (or all) four of the “sold-out” Columbia Triathlon Association events:
    • April 29 – IronGirl 13.1 Half Marathon
    • May 22 – Columbia Triathlon
    • June 12 – EagleMan Ironman 70.3 Triathlon
    • Aug. 21 – Iron Girl Triathlon

To register for any of the Columbia Triathlon events above – a REGISTRATION FORM must be completed and returned directly to the foundation. Note: Team “WIN-THE-FIGHT” race slots are limited and on a “first-come; first-‘re’-served” basis! After you return your triathlon charity slot registration form for any of the four races above, it’s time to create your own personal fundraising website.

  3. Register for another event on your own, that you choose – anywhere in the country or abroad, such as a running race (5K, 10K, marathon), triathlon, hike, bike ride or expedition, etc. – AND, do so as a Team “WIN-THE-FIGHT” member creating your own personal fundraising website.
  4. OR

  5. Organize your own group Team “WIN-THE-FIGHT” event from bowling to golf, or any other type of organized group activity that we can custom develop a Team fundraising program with you and set-up personal fundraising sites for your participants. Contact us directly to discuss your ideas: team@winthefight.org

For any of the Team fundraising formats approached above, creating your own fundraising page(s) is very easy to do and incredibly rewarding. Be creative and have fun to earn satisfaction and awards. All Team “WIN-THE-FIGHT” members are eligible to receive incentive awards depending on the type of campaign activity – examples include custom training and racing gear to sun shade canopies, shirts, water bottles or custom bike jerseys.

A very helpful fundraiser checklist and sample fundraising plan can be referenced at: http://www.active.com/activegiving/tips.cfm. If you have questions, contact the Active Giving “Help Desk” at: 877-228-4881, option 2 or email: givingsupport@active.com.

Our collective Team efforts are important and contributions by your donors are tax deductible to the Foundation, a 501(c)(3), non-profit, public charity - Federal Tax ID 55-0855653. Donors are advised to check with their tax advisor for more complete information. And remember, you are a valuable member of our “WIN-THE-FIGHT” Team!!! Good luck with your fundraising!

WHEN WE’RE A TEAM TO “WIN-THE-FIGHT”’ AGAINST MELANOMA, WE WILL WIN!!!
